Absolutely, particularly as a member I've already paid for entry AND in addition YCCC have made entry free to all who have applied 'on-line' for a 'free' ticketThere is some live cricket at Headingley today as the Northern Diamonds take on the Southern Vipers in the Rachel Heyhoe Flint trophy.
50 overs per side, 10:30 start. You need to get a ticket from the ticket office but it won't cost you anything as entry is free.
I did hear the coach from one ladies team saying that the sport ought to be judged in terms of it's success in attracting paying spectators and sponsors in about 2030.
There's an awful lot of subsidy to flow under the bridge by then.
By the way I applied for an extra (free) ticket for my wife, yesterday upon our return from Cumbria. Received an e-mail acknowledging the ticket and saying it would be e-mailed shortly. Having not received promised 'free' received ticket overnight , applied again today.Absolutely, particularly as a member I've already paid for entry AND in addition YCCC have made entry free to all who have applied 'on-line' for a 'free' ticket
Edit: I'm actually at the game, NorthernDiamonds bowled well, held their catches and restricted the southrrn team to 226.
In reply Diamonds are 58 - 1 aftrr 10 overs, lovely day.
Oh and I've signed a petition organised by a lovely gentleman from WRF - basically to force an EGM (Nov?) and to try to get YCCC to agree to follow members wishes rather than take our views 'into account. Follows similar at LCCC and elsewhere.
Diamonds won with 7 overs to spare. Winfield-Hill scored 125.
